If You Really Want To Move,You Got To Get Movin'!!

If that title sounds familiar to you then it's probably because you've heard it in a song. It's Movin' by Group 1 Crew.

This title is so true in my life right now.

I've always been the type of person to trust in God to lead me where He wants me to be. As much as I want to be obedient to God and do only what he wants me to do with my life I've made the mistake of just sitting back and waiting....and waiting....and waiting.

I'm not saying that to wait upon the Lord is wrong. In fact it's what's usually most healthy for your walk.

But waiting on the Lord doesn't mean you sit around idle and not working towards where you think the Lord is calling you.

It's like when the Lord called Abraham to just pack up and "Go". He didn't tell him right away where he was going but God did tell him to get movin'!

I think part of it too is just having the faith and trust to know that God has the end result already laid out for you. The biggest reason to not get movin' is a battle against the logical sense of things.

We've been conformed to believe that we have to know where we are going or what the end result will be before we set forth on an endeavor.

And I think that's the biggest hinderence we face today when it comes to really seeing God move in our lives!!

We have "faith" that God will provide and supply us with our needs and put us in places and positions that He wants us in but can we say we have the faith of Abraham??

To just heed the Lord's calling and just pack up and get movin'?

It's something to think about.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot....

The journey there is usually where you will find the most adventure and memories.

  2. Well, this actually relates to a post i just wrote on my blog. Love for you to check it out if you have the time.

I have been wrestling with some of these very same questions myself . . . And I feel like maybe I have been guilty of waiting to see what door God will open without actually getting up and walking in any direction.

    Good thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
