How To Distinguish Good From Evil

As Christians, one of the things we must learn how to do is to be able to distinguish good from evil.

Luckily for us, God gave us the perfect plan for us to learn how to do this.

Hebrews 5:12-14

12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

This scripture should jump out of the pages at us. Because in order for us to be able to distinguish good from evil we need to be CONSTANTLY in the word!!

Makes sense huh? Seems like it's such a simple concept that we should have guessed that one on our own even. But, most of the time I would say that we get distracted and make excuses to not be in God's word as much as we should be.

Perhaps the enemy knows this scripture better than we do. Perhaps he knows that this scripture carries a lot of power and he sets out to do whatever it takes to distract us and keep us constantly OUT of God's word!!!

So where do we find we are at? Are we more often IN the word or OUT of it?

Perhaps one of the best ways for you to answer the question is with another one - How well can you distinguish Good from Evil?
