How To Make Your Faith Real!

Did anyone see the story on Lifetime Movie Network about the tragic Amish shootings that happened not too long ago??

WOW!

That movie was very inspirational and helped me gain a lot of perspective.

But perhaps the thing that stuck with me the most was what Gideon said when he was describing faith...

"The Lord does not set us on an easy path, but this I know, faith when everything is as you want it to be is not true faith. It is only when our lives are falling apart that we have the chance to make our faith real"!!!

DANG!

This is honestly the best way to describe what kind of "faith roller-coaster" I've been on the last few months with Emily being sick. And this is truly the best way to describe what real faith looks like in the midst of any storm.

When Gideon said that on the movie I had to rewind it and write it down in my journal. It speaks volumes!

And if you get the chance to watch Amish Grace I highly recommend it. But first make sure you have a some kleenex with you!

  1. I know that most people profess to have faith. But its during the REAL trials that our faith is shown. We have to put our faith in the Lord that HE will take care of us and our families. The main thing is, you REALLY DO have to BELIVE it with all of your heart and give it to our LORD and KNOW that He will take care of it and stop worrying about it. I read a very prophetic line the other day in a little book of daily affirmations. It said, "If we worry, then are doubting God." I sure hate to think that I am doubting God. So thinking of that makes me not worry so much. It's a good habit to get into. Giving your worries to God.
