Weekly Challenge

Pastor Michael just sent out an email offering a weekly challenge and I think it's a great idea. If you are a member of GCC I would encourage you to take it seriously and try it. It's time we did the things necessary to grow our spiritual walks.

That being said, when I read the email he sent with the challenge attached it gave me an idea.

Why not start a weekly challenge on my blog for my readers as well?

If we aren't challenging ourselves folks we aren't growing. That's it, plain and simple!

So with that being said I'm going to try to dedicate every Tuesday to being my Weekly Challenge day. I might ask you to specifically do something or I may just put a quote or something for you to reflect on to see where you are in your walk.

Jump in, get involved and let's grow together!

Today's Thought:

If you are your own benchmark, how will you improve?

2 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)
But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

  1. It isn't even using our selves that won't work, but using others!!! We just need to continue to look to Christ, and strive to be more and more like him... a goal which we will never fully attain, which I believe throws some people off... but a goal worth working towards none the less!!!!

  2. Ditto to Lynn. It takes practice though. And a regular challenge will be great to stay focused on our Lord - not on how we compare to those around us. Thanks, Joe!
