Roller Coaster's

There's an old saying that, "Life is like one big Roller Coaster", and the more I think about it the more I understand it.

There's also a saying I heard recently that says, "The best thing to do when your in the middle of life's roller coaster is to just hang on and not jump off"

How true!

So many times we see our lives, (and our Christian walks for that matter), as this constant giant roller coaster that just has no end and sometimes we are up on top of the world and in a matter of moments we come screaming down to the bottom and hit the earth's surface, hard!

While on the roller coaster we have our good times and then just as quickly the bad times are just around the corner. On a roller coaster the ride isn't smooth. In fact it's really rough and bumpy and so it is with life as well. And just when things are going good and straight we are quickly jerked around like a rag doll.

On this roller coaster called life we find that there is no consistency. Nothing is always good and nothing is always bad. Just always unexpected.

Jesus told us that walking with him would never be easy but that it would be well worth it in the end.

Keep your eyes on him and the roller coaster ride won't be so bad and it will be worth it in the end!

  1. Very well said. I find it interesting that God seems to pour out the blessings while we are in the valleys and focussed on Him. However, when we get to the top of the hills and start cruising, we tend to let our eyes and minds stray from Jesus which results in God backing off with the blessings, and it's down we go again. Then we just repeat this over and over.

    Good post!
