Seek God First

We've heard it said many times before and even used it to get our relationship right with the Lord. To "seek God first", Luke 12: 31, is often misconstrued as something we do at the very beginning of our spiritual journey and not really a standard to live by.

But I challenge you to think about it like this...

It's not just a stepping stone to get you going in the right direction at the beginning of your spiritual journey but a reminder of what to do in every day life. We should always seek God first when we...

• Are faced with tough career choices
• Make hard financial decisions
• Decide whether or not to watch that show or see that movie
• Volunteer our time to the church, charities, or missions
• Pray
• Read our Bible
• Worship

I guess what I'm trying to say is that we should always seek God first. Many of the things that go wrong in any item on the above mentioned list is because we've neglected to do this.
