I was reading Every Man's Battle last night by Stephen Arterburn when I came across a statement that nearly floored me. It went something like this...
Are you able to look God in the eye?
Wow! Am I able to look God in the eye? Or do I have things in my life that I've been ignoring? Have I been thinking that all is okay when in fact it's not? Am I trying to hide things in my life or walk with the Lord that would displease Him if exposed?
When I read that I was convicted because sometimes I can get mad or angry at people too easily or I tend to throw a fit when things don't always go the way I planned them to. I'm thankful that God laid that statement in front of me last night. It's past time for me to get my walk in shape enough to be able to look God in the eye.
Do you have things in your life that would prohibit you from looking in the eyes of God?
