This post is dedicated to someone with Noble Character... my wife, Erica.
With all that has happened within the last week I cannot begin to explain the respect I've gained for my wife. When we heard that Mark passed away last Tuesday I knew that we were going to be in a very difficult spot and that it would take great strength to get us through this. God being the great God that He is, provided the strength that we needed but He also revealed to me probably one of the biggest strength's that I didn't realize that I had in my corner.
Erica is probably one of the strongest people I know. Her faith has grown in leaps-and-bounds over the short amount of time that we've been married and just this week I learned (even more) that she is one of the best gifts God could have ever blessed me with.
We read in Proverbs 12:4 that a wife of noble character is the crown of a husband, and while I knew that Erica was such a blessing from God I had no idea or even thought of it in the way that this passage describes it.
We've often heard it said that through great trials and tribulation we find new things revealed to us and I would have to give a big amen to that saying. This very difficult trial of pain and sorrow through the loss of a great father-in-law brings clarity to just how strong Erica is. Her faith is deeply rooted in our Lord and Savior and I clearly see that now.
A wife of noble character is the crown of this husband for sure. Noble character is what my wife truly possess and thankfully the Lord revealed that to me this week. I seen it in the way she was there for her hurting family in ways that no one else could have been. I seen it in the way she trusted and put her faith in God to provide. I seen it in the way she was stronger than I ever could have been in a situation like this.
There's no way I could ever thank God enough for such a wonderful blessing.
Do you see your wife as the crown she truly is?
