Wednesday Nights

Wednesday nights at GCC are great. I really need that day in the middle of the week to get me through to Sunday. A typical Wednesday at our church starts at 6:00 p.m. where we will eat a home cooked meal and fellowship with one another until 7:00. At 7:00 we split up and I go to the Jr. High building because I am a Jr. High youth coach. The adults go to "Round 2" where they will go into a deeper discussion about what we learned in the previous Sunday's sermon. The adults then break down into small groups and discuss in greater detail what they just heard at Round 2. What I love the most about Wednesday nights is that although the lessons given by our Jr. High coach are geared for the Jr. High level, I still learn a great deal of information that is just as vital to my everyday spiritual walk. I just love the fact that I can have a pitstop in the middle of the week to refill my spiritual tank and enable me to make it to the finish line on Sunday. The home cooked meals at GCC aren't too bad either. The food alone would be reason enough for me to come!

  1. I am glad that you have joined the blogging world. It gives me more to read!

I have heard good things about Wednesday nights. I really wish that I could attend, but unfortuately I don't get off work until 9pm.

  2. I hear ya about the "pit stop." That is exactly how it is for me, too. Recently, I have started going to therapy for my back problems on Mondays and Wednesdays, and it was causing me to miss Round 2. I didn't think this was such a big deal, but this week, I decided to reschedule my appointment for Thursday. Therefore, I was able to make it to the church on time, and I am so glad I did. My spiritual "tank" drains so fast in the fallen world we find ourselves in, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to refill in the middle of the week!

You and I are on the same page on many things...
